One Deck Pete and I have been internet friends for long enough to not remember how we first connected online, and up until recenlty, have had a niche manner of keeping in touch - a sprawling convo in Twitter DMs. We'd never met in person until recently when he joined me in the RTM studio for an afternoon of music, conversation and a few cheeky tunes on the sound system afterwards.
This is a slightly different radio show to a "typical" North of the River Swan broadcast, it starts rather structured, but descends into us going one for one, whilst also chatting about early the 2000s London clubbing scene, shortwave radio, gardening, hard water vs soft water and the strong possibility of Andrew Weatherall accidentally playing one of Pete's tunes back in the day. Amongst that he takes us on a bit of a tour of his musical projects, Madtone and One Deck & Popular.
In true form, I struggle to get the guest mic right for a bit but stick with it, we get there in the end.
